Benj Gerdes is a Brooklyn-based artist, professor in the Department of Communications and Film at Long Island University and 2018 Fulbright Specialist at the Visual Culture Unit, Institute of Art and Design, TU Wien, contributing to the unit’s long-term research focus on “Building Capital/Baukapital”. His research residency at TU Wien has been made possible through the generous support by the Fulbright Commission.
